The Embassy’s economic scanning engagements are being undertaken in support of Philippine enterprises in Cambodia.

Mr. Chanchal Singh, Senior Manager for Commercial Strategy and Mr. Ken Nhan, Assistant to the Chairman of Chip Mong Group briefed the Ambassador on Chipmong’s business strengths in trading, industries, real estate, beverages, retail, banking and resorts. Phnom Penh, 08 July 2024 – Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo today called on Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia at the Senate House. Second only to His Majesty, King Norodom Sihamoni, in Cambodia’s Order of Precedence, Samdech Techo Hun Sen warmly welcomed Ambassador Mayo and acknowledged the longstanding diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cambodia characterized by mutual trust. He encouraged more Philippine investments in the Kingdom, including in the food and beverage, retail, health, and education sectors.
Ambassador Mayo appreciated the strong momentum created in recent years by engagements at the Heads of Government level for bilateral relations to grow. “It bodes well for our countries’ friendship that our leaders have set the directions to expand our partnership for mutual benefit,” she remarked. The Ambassador expressed confidence that the Philippines and Cambodia will attain further progress when they meet for the 4th meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation this year. She thanked the Senate President for his positive view of Filipino workers and Philippine enterprises doing business in Cambodia.
Discussions during the extended courtesy call covered a broad range of topics including Filipinos in Cambodia, trade and investments, tourism, military engagements, and cybercrime as well as international and regional concerns. END
