The safety and well-being of an estimated 5,174* Filipino nationals in the Kingdom of Cambodia is a paramount concern of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Phnom Penh.
In this context, the Embassy has formulated and regularly updates its Contingency Plan to effectively respond to crises and emergency situations that may arise in Cambodia.
The enclosed Contingency Plan identifies the emergencies that may emerge, given the situation and conditions in Cambodia, outlines the courses of action to be taken, and cites the needed administrative and logistical mechanisms to support such actions.
When general emergencies emerge, the Crisis Management Team (CMT) of the Embassy will be mobilized. Embassy personnel will assume functions assigned to them in this Plan and will accordingly be deployed. Wardens will be designated from among Filipino community volunteers to help in relocation and evacuation operations, if warranted.
This Contingency Plan will serve to facilitate the Embassy's actions in an expeditious, coordinated and orderly manner.
Filipinos in Cambodia are requested to register with the Embassy for better coordination, especially in times of crises and emergency.
