PH Ambassador Presents Credentials to King Norodom Sihamoni

27 January 2021, Phnom Penh – Philippine Ambassador Maria Amelita C. Aquino presented her letter of credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cambodia to King Norodom Sihamoni on 26 January 2021 at the Throne Hall of the Royal Palace.

During the Royal Audience after the presentation of credentials, King Sihamoni warmly welcomed Ambassador Aquino and conveyed his best wishes to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.   He noted the various areas of cooperation between the Philippines and Cambodia and expressed appreciation for the Philippines’ assistance and support in various capacity-building activities and scholarships in the field of science and engineering, education, agriculture, and health. He expressed his best wishes to Ambassador Aquino for a successful mission in Cambodia.

For her part, Ambassador Aquino cited important developments in Philippines-Cambodia relations, including in the areas of education, trade and investment, tourism, labor and people-to-people exchanges. She affirmed her commitment and mission to further strengthen relations between the Philippines and Cambodia.  END
