The Philippines and Cambodia marked the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations on 20 August 2020. There is no better way to celebrate friendship than through food. For this occasion, the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh commissioned a Phnom Penh-based chef, Mr. Richmond Roque, to innovate on two dishes – kare-kare using Cambodia’s shrimp paste and fish amok (the unofficial national dish of Cambodia) using tuna flakes from the Philippines.
