1 August 2019, Phnom Penh - Led by Vice Consul Frances Louissa Cleofas, the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh served a total of 99 Filipinos and rendered 124 consular services in Siem Reap and Poipet during its two-day consular outreach mission.

The Embassy offered the following services: Embassy I.D. issuance and renewal; passport renewal and passport extensions; civil registry (Report of Birth and Report of Marriage); and notarial services (e.g. acknowledgment of employment contract, affidavit of invitation, etc.).

The Embassy pilot-tested its Online Appointment System during the missions to Siem Reap and Poipet, which proved successful in shortening the waiting period of each client.

Filipinos who availed themselves of the consular services thanked the Embassy for conducting the mobile outreach saying that “mobile consular services are a great relief” and that it “saves time and money.” Other Filipinos commended the “professional, helpful and very fast service” provided to them remarking that they were “very much impressed with the service” of the Embassy.

Siem Reap is six (6) hours away by land travel from Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, while Poipet is eight (8) hours away from Phnom Penh by land. The Embassy regularly conducts a mobile outreach in said areas at least once a year. END
