Invitation to a Voice Workshop by the Philippine Madrigal Singers
The Philippine Embassy invites the Filipino community to attend a voice workshop on 8 June 2019 (Saturday) from 9:00 AM to 10:30AM at the Philippine Embassy Multi-Purpose Hall.
The voice workshop will be conducted by the choirmaster of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers, Mr. Mark Anthony A. Carpio.
The University of the Philippines Madrigal Singers (UPMS), also known as the Philippine Madrigal Singers or simply Madz, is one of the major choral groups based in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. They are recognized by the UNESCO as Artists for Peace for putting their fame and influence to promote cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and culture of peace. The Madz is one of the most awarded choral groups in the world, having won all the top prizes in most of the world’s prestigious choral competitions. They hold the distinction of being the first choir in the world to win the prestigious European Grand Prix for Choral Singing twice in 1997 and 2007.
