PH Embassy in Phnom Penh Conducts its First Consular Outreach in 2018
The Philippine Embassy in Cambodia conducted its first consular outreach on 28 January 2018 in Borey Phipop Thmey in the outskirts of Phnom Penh.
Borey Phipop Thmey, an area known for its booming real estate projects and garment factories, has a large concentration of Filipinos. It is 7.2 kilometers from the city center.
The Embassy's Consular Team served a total of 159 clients and rendered 199 types of services.
Many of the consular clients expressed appreciation for the Embassy's efforts to bring Philippine government services closer to where they are as this minimized the need for them to be absent from work. The last time the Embassy held a similar consular outreach in Borey Phipop Thmey was in 2015.
