PH AMBASSADOR THANKS ASEAN COLLEAGUES FOR SUPPORT DURING PH'S ASEAN CHAIRMANSHIP

Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia, Christopher B. Montero, hosted on 18 January 2018 the monthly luncheon of ASEAN Ambassadors in Phnom Penh and conveyed his appreciation for the support and cooperation of ASEAN Embassies during the recently-concluded Philippine chairmanship of ASEAN.

In particular, Ambassador Montero cited the successful conduct of three (3) commemorative activities in Phnom Penh that were shepherded by the Philippine Embassy for the ASEAN's 50th milestone anniversary last year. These were the ASEAN Fun Walk in May, the ASEAN Film Festival in September and the ASEAN Family Day in December.

The luncheon serves as a venue for ASEAN Ambassadors to exchange views on domestic, regional and international developments.

Aside from ASEAN Ambassadors, also in attendance during the luncheon were Ambassador Ilhan Kemal Tug of Turkey, who is due to complete his tour in Cambodia, and Pakistani Ambassador Amjad Ali Sher, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps. END
