The permanent Chancery of the Philippine Embassy in Cambodia was formally inaugurated at a diplomatic reception held to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cambodia on 28 August 2017.

The reception was attended more than 150 guests from the Cambodian government, diplomatic corps, business, academe and media, and members of the Filipino community.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, graced the event as Guest of Honor, while DFA Assistant Secretary Millicent Cruz-Paredes represented the Department of Foreign Affairs. In their remarks, both officials cited the progress achieved by both countries in deepening bilateral ties for the past 60 years and reaffirmed their commitment in working towards a stronger and mutually beneficial relations within the context of a peaceful and prosperous ASEAN community.

The formal program included the showing of a video presentation encapsulating the significance of the 60th anniversary and the inauguration of the Embassy's permanent home, and a sumptuous all-Filipino dinner buffet, which included Bicol express, kinilaw, sisig, bulalo, and crispy pata.

The permanent Chancery of the Philippine Embassy in Cambodia was acquired by the Philippine Government last year. END
