The Philippine Embassy in Cambodia mapped out the Programs, Activities and Projects (PAPs) it will undertake for the conduct of Philippines' bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Cambodia in 2016 at a Planning Conference on 26 December 2015 in Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
The PAPs identified aim to promote the Philippine interests in Cambodia in the areas of national security, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, assistance to nationals and consular matters. The output of the Conference includes a package of initiatives that will be undertaken by the Embassy to enhance the overall operating environment/capability in delivering its commitments for 2016.
“In charting our work plan for 2016, I call on each of you to remember that it is a distinct honor to serve the Philippines, its interests and its people, in Cambodia,” Philippine Ambassador Christopher B. Montero exhorted his team in his opening remarks.
The Planning Conference also included a briefing on gender awareness and sensitivity, as well as preparation for the impending transfer of the Embassy to its new Chancery in the first half of 2016. END
