Call to H.E. Hun ManyCall to H.E. Hun Many with Gift

Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Christopher B. Montero called on H.E. Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) and member of the National Assembly, on 02 December 2015 at the UYFC headquarters in Phnom Penh.

The meeting between the two officials came on the heels of the recent trip of H.E. Hun Many to the Philippines to receive the Gusi Peace Prize for 2015. Ambassador Montero congratulated the youngest son of PM Hun Sen for the recognition of his extensive humanitarian work, as well as his achievements as a youth leader and advocate of cultural heritage preservation.

According to H.E. Hun Many, his first trip to the Philippines opened doors for increased youth exchanges between the Philippines and Cambodia. Ambassador Montero welcomed this development and proposed the establishment of a bilateral mechanism for youth exchanges and cooperation between the Philippines and Cambodia. “Given that the young people in the Philippines and Cambodia form a substantial portion of the populations of the two countries, they play a significant role in shaping the future of Philippines-Cambodia relations,” Ambassador Montero noted.

H.E. Hun Many said that he looks forward to working closely with the Philippine Embassy in promoting friendship and mutual understanding among the youths of the Philippines and Cambodia. END
