The Philippine Embassy in Cambodia teamed up with partner government agencies for onsite services to Filipinos living and working in Cambodia during the 4th Multi-Agency Service Mission (MASM) held in Siem Reap on 03 to 04 October 2015.
Representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration (POEA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund and the Social Security System (SSS) extended services to more than 200 Filipinos who attended the two day mission.
Among the services provided were: issuance of Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) / Balik Manggagawa, membership registration, re-activation and updating with OWWA, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG Fund, as well as one-on-one consultations with the POEA. The partner agencies also gave briefings to the Filipino community on membership benefits and obligations.
On the other hand, the Embassy offered passport and legalization/notarial services, and overseas Voters’ registration, as well as a presentation conducted by Defense Attaché Col. Pablo Lorenzo on the Contingency Plan of the Embassy for Filipinos in Cambodia. An official from the Cambodian Provincial Department of Labor and Vocational Training, Deputy Director Im Chamreoun, also providing a breifing on the application procedures for work permits for foreigners in Cambodia.
Usually held once a year in Phnom Penh, the 4th MASM was the first ever to be held in Siem Reap and follows the one earlier held in Phnom Penh in March this year. END
