Philippine Ambassador Christopher B. Montero made an introductory call on H.E. Hang Choun Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia, at the Ministry of Education building in Phnom Penh on 07 August 2015.

Ambassador Montero and Minister Hang exchanged views on strengthening PH-Cambodia relations in the area of education, particularly on human resource development and capacity building which are key factors for attaining competitiveness in the era of globalization. The two officials also agreed to facilitate closer interaction and partnerships among learning institutions and universities in their respective countries to foster greater understanding among Filipino and Cambodian students.

Ambassador likewise noted the significant contributions of Filipino English teachers in educating the Cambodian youth, which Minister Hang gratefully acknowledged. Aside from the area of education, the two officials also agreed to advance bilateral cooperation in the areas of sports and the youth. END
