Philippine Ambassador Christopher B. Montero made an introductory call on H.E. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister-in-Charge of the Council of Ministers, at the Office of the Council of Ministers on 12 August 2015.

During the meeting, Ambassador Montero and H.E. DPM Sok An discussed a broad range of areas to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, tourism, and culture. To manifest the Philippines' commitment to strengthen economic relations, Ambassador Montero informed DPM Sok An that a delegation of Philippine companies will be visiting Phnom Penh on 20-22 August 2015 for a trade mission and business-matching meetings with Cambodian companies. The two officials also agreed that direct air linkages and more frequent official interaction are key towards intensifying tourism, cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
