Phnom Penh, 04 September 2024 – Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo and His Excellency Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries exchanged views on ways forward to enhance agricultural cooperation between the Philippines and Cambodia, including rice trade and pepper cultivation. 

In a courtesy call on Minister Dith on 3 September 2024 in Phnom Penh, Ambassador Mayo appreciated Cambodia’s keen interest to export rice to the Philippines and flagged plans for a Philippine business mission to Cambodia that may include potential rice traders.

With a view to deepening friendly relations, the Philippines and Cambodia are working to strengthen cooperation in the development of their agricultural sector through joint undertakings and exchanges.  END
