Philippine Ambassador Inducts New Officers of PhilCham Cambodia
Philippine Ambassador Maria Amelita C. Aquino inducted the new officers of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Business Associations in Cambodia (PhilCham Cambodia) on 9 September 2022 at the Embassy.
The induction of officers was also witnessed by PhilCham Cambodia member companies, Filipino entrepreneurs, and Filipino executives in Cambodia.
In her remarks, Ambassador Aquino highlighted the improved GDP growth of the Philippines for the 1st semester of this year, which is above the full year target of the Philippine government, and the aim of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s administration in making the Philippines a more attractive destination for foreign businesses and investments through measures and reforms. She also underscored the Embassy’s role in encouraging more trade and investments between Philippines and Cambodia, as well as the importance of the private sector in achieving this goal.
During the event, PhilCham Cambodia President Benilda Fernando enumerated the recent activities of the Chamber and conveyed her appreciation for the support of the founding and current members of PhilCham Cambodia as well as other partners, which include the Embassy. END
