PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR SWEARS IN THE OFFICERS OF CORDILLERANS IN CAMBODIA (CIC)

Philippine Ambassador Maria Amelita C. Aquino has sworn into office the officers of the Cordillerans in Cambodia (CiC) on 24 June 2022 at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Philippine Embassy. CiC is the first regional grouping under the Samahan ng mga Pilipino sa Cambodia (SAMAPI), the umbrella Filipino community organization in Cambodia.

CiC aims to promote solidarity among Filipinos from the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Baguio City, and create better awareness of the culture of the Cordilleras.

The  CiC officers are Mr. Manny Nebaten (President); Ms. Lilibeth Baliling (Vice President); Ms. Shiandy Puyao-Katoch (Secretary); Ms. Jean Bomowey (Treasurer); Mr. Fred Dicang Jr. (Press Relations Officer); Ms. Lumin Baliang (Business Manager); Pastor Joseph de Vera, Messrs. Joel Kewan, Renz Ruadap, Ariel Bilog, Ms. Ronalyn Pelis (Communication Officers/Representatives per province); Messrs. Efren Azucena, Jack Ramos, Renz Ruadap (Sports Coordinators-Volleyball), Messrs. Dennis Suprimedo, Pastor Joseph de Vera (Sports Coordinators-Basketball); Ms. Ana Mae Sabelo, Messrs. Joe Rajiv Mappang, Eli Berato, Arnel Millare (Music Coordinators); and Pastor Mike Valdez, Dr. Sario Pio, Mesdames Charlene Mae Caput and Lorenzana Dumaligan (Advisors).

In her remarks, Ambassador Aquino encouraged the CiC officers to continue to promote the Philippines and the Cordilleran culture and identity in Cambodia as well as lauded their efforts to promote the professional development of its members. END
