Philippine Law Enforcement and Military Officials in Cambodia

 attend ASEAN Meetings

Phnom Penh, 16 March 2022 – Military officials headed by Gen Andres C Centino PA, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Maria Amelita C. Aquino on Wednesday, 16 March, as part of their activities in the Kingdom in connection with the 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Defense Forces Meeting (ACDFM-19), and related meetings.

General Centino headed the Philippine Delegation to the ACDFM-19, the annual meeting of the defense chiefs of the ASEAN Member States  which was held in physical format in Phnom Penh. The Philippine Delegation, which included the Deputy Chiefs of Staff for Plans (J5), Operations (J3), and Intelligence (J2) also attended the 19th ASEAN Military Intelligence Meeting (AMIM-19), and 12th ASEAN Military Operations Meeting (AMOM-12), which were all hosted in physical format by the Kingdom of Cambodia this week. 

Earlier this month, the Police contingent, headed by PGen Dionardo B Carlos, Chief of Philippine National Police, participated in the 40th ASEAN National Police (ASEANAPOL) Conference also hosted in physical format by the Kingdom of Cambodia from 2 to 4 March 2022. They also paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Aquino during their visit. END
