PH-KH Cooperation in Post-pandemic Economic Recovery
Highlighted in the Ambassador’s Meeting with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance

3 February 2022, Phnom Penh – Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Maria Amelita C. Aquino and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth discussed post-pandemic economic recovery strategies, including the importance of COVID-19 vaccination and strengthening Philippines-Cambodia trade and investment, during the Ambassador’s call on Minister Aun on 3 February 2022.

They also exchanged views on encouraging more engagement between the private sectors of the two countries, particularly under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) that was signed during the Third Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) in December 2021.

They agreed to work with the relevant agencies of their respective countries to push forward the conclusion of negotiations on the Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and explore other legal frameworks that would encourage trade facilitation. END
