UPDATED ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND QUARANTINE MEASURES FOR

ARRIVING FOREIGN NATIONALS STARTING 18 NOVEMBER 2020

 

 

The Embassy of the Philippines in Phnom Penh informs all Filipinos in Cambodia of the enclosed three-page revised entry requirements and quarantine measures for foreign nationals issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Health on 11 November 2020.

 

In particular, overseas Filipino workers seeking to travel to Cambodia must note the revised requirements and measures, which will take effect on 18 November 2020:

 

“Regular foreign travelers who arrive in Cambodia must:

 

  1. Complete quarantine at a location reserved and permitted by the Ministry of Health for 14 days.

  1. Deposit USD 2,000 upon arrival at international airports in Cambodia, which will be used to cover accommodation costs during quarantine period, COVID-19 medical examination fees, and local transportation costs from the international airport to the reserved hotel. The Ministry will return the remaining balance after payment of actual expenses to the individual in three (3) days after completing the implementation of health measures.

  1. Take out health insurance package for COVID-19 treatment, with a cost of USD 90, which covers USD 50,000 and is valid for twenty (20) days. This insurance package can be purchased from FORTE Insurance Company through: https://www.forteinsurance.com/covid-19-insurance/.

  1. Allow the health authority to collect samples in case of suspicion during quarantine and on the 13th day to confirm the completion of quarantine.

Regular foreign travelers will be sent to a 14-day quarantine at the hotel designated by the Ministry of Health. The hotel room’s fee is between USD 60 and USD 75 per night.

 

The expenses for the quarantine period and COVID-19 treatment must comply with Ministry of Health’s Announcement No. 564 issued on 11 June 2020, which is still in effect (please check the 12 June2020 Embassy advisory at https://www.facebook.com/PHLinCambodia/photos/1402073323320818 ).”

 

The Ministry of Health has also announced that those who violate COVID-19 quarantine rules will face a fine of up to USD 250.

 

In accordance with the earlier four-page announcement of the Ministry of Health (please check the announcement at this link:https://www.facebook.com/mfaic.gov.kh/photos/pcb.1976087529188491/1976087272521850),regular foreign travelers planning to travel to Cambodia must also secure a (1) Medical Certificate issued by health authorities, recognized and certified by the Government of his/her home country indicating that he/she is COVID-19 negative for 72 hours prior to the departure the following priorto arrival in Cambodia and (2) a valid Cambodian visa issued by Royal Cambodian Embassies or Consulates at the passengers’ home country.
