With reference to the Commission on Election’s (COMELEC) Resolution No. 10619 promulgated on 6 November 2019, the Philippine Embassy hereby announces the resumption of overseas voter registration and certification for the 9 May 2022 National Elections (President, Vice President, Senators and Party-List Representatives).
Section 6 of COMELEC Resolution 10167 states that: "All citizens of the Philippines, who are abroad or will be abroad during the thirty (30) day voting period, at least eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the elections and not otherwise disqualified by law, may register."
Applicants may secure their Overseas Form No. 1 (OVF 1) either at Consular Section of the Embassy, through the websites of COMELEC or DFA, or file online using the iRehistro facility at www.comelec.gov.ph.
Applications for registration/certification and transfer of registration records must be filed from 16 December 2016 to 30 September 2021 upon presenting one’s passport at the Embassy located at No. 182 Norodom Boulevard, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh or during a consular outreach announced beforehand.
Relatedly, COMELEC has deactivated the names of Three Hundred and Eighty-Four (384) inactive overseas voters in the Kingdom of Cambodia for failure to vote in the 2016 and 2019 National Elections. Deactivation from the overseas voters list means that the previously registered overseas voter may not be allowed to vote in the next succeeding national elections unless he/she files for reactivation of registration records.
All overseas voters whose registration records appear in the list may file their applications for reactivation from 16 December 2016 to 30 September 2021 at the Philippine Embassy in Cambodia. To view the list, please click on the following link:
