The Philippine Embassy advises the Filipino community in the Kingdom of Cambodia that on 30 August 2019, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MWRM) issued an advisory regarding Tropical Storm Podul, which is causing the rapid increase of water level in the Mekong River.
According to the pronouncement, the storm has passed the South China Sea and has arrived in the middle part of Vietnam on 30 August 2019. This has caused heavy rainfall, strong wind, and high waves in the coastal provinces of Cambodia. The mountain range and plateau region along the Vietnamese borders will also experience fairly heavy or heavy rainfall.
