The Sentro Rizal Phnom Penh of the Philippine Embassy is pleased to announce that it will organize self-defense classes using Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), starting on 8 September 2019 (Sunday), from 07:30 am to 09:30 am, at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Embassy.

FMA, also known as Arnis, Kali, or Eskrima, is the national martial arts of the Philippines. The classes are FREE and will be conducted by Coach Ronald Farol. A recently retired member of the Philippine National Police, Coach Ronald is multi-awarded Arnis coach and player, both in the Philippines and in the World Cacoy Eskrima Arnis Championships.

Made possible through the support of the Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (PEKAF) under the leadership of its Chairman and President, Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, the FMA self-defense class is open to the members of the Filipino community and their Cambodian/expat friends, 12 years old and above.

During the 10 sessions to be held on Sundays, from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, the participants will learn about discipline, self-defense, the basics of FMA (stances,strikes, blocking)
