- I really wish that this plan of establishing a school for Filipino children would push through because this will be a big help to us, OFWs here. More power to your team! Looking forward to this.
- Should be international. And reasonable tuition fee and fair to Filipino wages here too.
- Hire teachers who are already in Cambodia.
- As long as the fees are not too expensive, compared to good private schools in the Philippines, then I will consider bringing back my family here in Cambodia. Plus good teachers with proper credentials. And speaking from experience, DECS/CHED accreditation should be necessary to make transferring back to a Philippine School after senior/junior high easier.
- If ever there would be one here in Phnom Penh that would be good for us as a family. We do not want to be separated from our children. Rather than sending them back to Philippines, we can enroll them here.
- I wished this proposed Phil. School in Cambodia will be implemented.
- Philippine education is still best. If this happens, I would like to be part of the teaching force. I am an internationally licensed professional teacher.
- That’s good idea to have Filipino school here in Cambodia. Now that our population here is getting bigger as time passes by. So that our school children can get along with other Filipino here. And if time comes that need to go back to the Philippines for good. They can easily adopt the way of teaching and learning in the Philippines.
- Kindly look into acceptance requirements so they take into consideration a child’s learning outside of the usual streams. Also, current school systems use conventional assessments and/ or rigid approaches that take the fun out of learning. My child is being homeschooled largely because she needs time out of a system (from Singapore) that caused burnout. Currently, she does online subjects from Khan Academy and other online sites, reads school books using the Australian curriculum, and takes part in seminars/trainings teaching real-life issues that help her have a global view and challenges her to be part of needed solutions. However, her facility of the Filipino language is not that good. Something my husband and I inadvertently overlooked and trying to rectify now.
- I hope this plan will be realized before my family returns to the Philippines.
- Find the best teacher. All are board passer Filipino teacher.
- This would be a great blessing to all Filipino (OFW’s) or missionaries currently working here. It has been my heart’s desire that all these missionary children will be blessed with a school that would provide them the quality education they needed. I believe that the children should not be the victim of their parents’ calling. Sad to say because of the high cost of International Standard of education most of our Filipino missionaries could not afford it and they need when homeschooling their children. Also this will help our kids with the transition they need when they go back home to the Philippines. I know that Filipinos are scattered all over Cambodia, is there a way that you could still offer this to children outside Phnom Penh? Could you have a sort like virtual learning or cloud learning? Blessings be upon you as you work on this. May God’s wisdom and guidance be upon you all. One more question if our children would just take the Filipino language or Philippine history would you be able to offer that?
- If it will be as good as the schools in PH then I want to have one here in Cambodia.
- Please hire licensed teachers and affordable tuition is preferable. Thanks, please make this happen.
- I hope we can have this ASAP. It will really help us.
- We hope that the tuition fee will not be too far from the usual and fair tuition fee in the Philippines.
- The school may offer accreditation/validation process to DepEd of the previous years taken by the child prior to return to Philippines.
- Hope it will be done soon
- Most of Filipino Parents would like to have their kids enrolled in Philippine based curriculum school.
- Manila Science and UP.
- It should be affordable and accredited DepED.
- I support the idea of having Philippine School here in Cambodia.
- No need too many schools here in Cambodia.
- Please open urgently.
- Curriculum should also be internationally recognized so it won’t be difficult to transfer school when we leave Cambodia. Extracurricular activities like stem.
- Expand Philippine culture globally … So go for your proposal.
- For us being OFW we preferred to keep our children in Philippines because it’s more cheaper.
- I hope that if this project will push true that aside from an affordable education, it will also provide Filipino children good quality of education.
- This is long awaited for.
- Good
- It’s good to hear your plan. It’s good to be secures in terms of education w/our children but it’s also good if we extend our help.
- School (Philippine School) in Cambodia is very important for a lot of Filipino children are born and raised in Cambodia. The school will remind them and educate them w/Filipino culture & heritage w/c are important part for being a Filipino.
- Should follow some rules in PH.
- Hope this happen.
- Should prioritize the Filipino teachers to work on the said school.
- The curriculum should be based on the K-12 program due to its spiral progression.
- Open for other nationalities, especially for Khmer people.
- It would be a great plan of this will be materialized, considering that we are sending our children in the International school here in Cambodia and sometimes we are not getting what we expect with the price we are paying. And our children will have a chance to experienced the quality of education e have back in the Philippines. Hope that the educators will also have the same quality and standard, good facilities and reasonable fee. And lastly, if this will happen, we have no worries as parents to our children once they transfer ti the Philippines to adjust with the language, subjects and environment.
- An international standardized curriculum combine to Philippine curricula will be great.
- Please hire qualified teachers.
- Can you consider about putting-up this school and let Filipinos have their shares of stocks in the school ( for those who like only) so that at least even us who are actually not really earning much in this country will have a chance to have another means of earnings for our family too.
- I hope the curriculum will be a mix of traditional ad progressive curriculum. And not for anything else, please don’t get khmer teachers. If your getting Filipino teachers, make sure they are BS Ed degree holders with appropriate accreditations, etc. You may consult Prof. Archie David of for the progressive curriculum. https://www.facebook.com/TeacherArchieDavid/
- Must be in Phnom Penh for the first one, next would be the place with many Filipinos.
- The school should follow the educational standards set in the Philippines especially on GMRC (Good Moral Values & Right Conduct)
- Ever since, I was looking for the best school for my son. I was a teacher too in our country that’s why I know how to check if the schools here are accredited from the DepEd Philippines, sad to say… Only few of the schools are only accredited under the k-12 DepED curriculum and those schools are TOO EXPENSIVE for us. I’m a single parent. It’s hard for my situations. I want to get him and send him to a nice school here. Hopefully this project will approve by our government and has a cheaper miscellaneous fee. Thanks and God bless!
- If you might need an IT director for the proposed Philippine school I’m more than willing to help. I’ve been an IT director more than 10 years with several reputable international schools.
- We are eager that this project will proceed soon.
- Please invite Filipino investors.
- It would be nice if it’s a government/public school as there would be an assurance that it’s compliant to K-12 regulatory standards set by DepEd. As parents, we’re going to be confident that there ‘s ease in case of transfer back to the Philippines, especially entering the university for college.
- Have a cheap school fee for every Filipino children here in Cambodia.
- Teachers should be hired from Philippines, not Cambodia.
- Please do open soon especially from 9th to 12 grade… please.
- I live in SR, if possible to be offered like Homeschool program with meeting occasionally like 1 week in every 2-3months.
