The OWWA OFW e-Card Has Been Launched and It’s FREE!!!

            The Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh is pleased to inform the Filipino community in Cambodia that the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) has launched the OWWA OFW e-Card—a new government-issued ID that is recognized by Philippine Embassies, Consulates and Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLO) around the world.

            The OWWA OFW e-Card is in its first phase and will be issued to active OWWA members and OFWs with valid Balik-Manggagawa OEC/Exemption Number.

This card gives the following benefits to its holders:

  • Faster means for the holders to avail of OWWA’s programs and services;
  • Provides a digital OWWA OFW e-card on OWWA’s mobile app, which may be used like the actual OWWA OFW e-card;
  • Serve as an exit clearance when leaving the Philippines;
  • Recognized as a government-issued Identification Card;
  • Serve as a permanent OWWA/OFW membership number.

            The application for an OWWA e-Card is done online, while the physical card can be claimed by the OFW at any regional OWWA Office when he/she goes home to the Philippines, or it may also be claimed by the worker’s authorized representative in the Philippines.

            For more information, please visit the official website   www.owwa.gov.ph or speak personally with the OWWA representative participating in the OEC Mission and Weekend Consular Services that is taking place in the Philippine Embassy’s Multi-purpose Hall on 20-21 October, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
