INVITATION TO A DANCE WORKSHOP WITH THE BAYANIHAN, THE NATIONAL FOLK DANCE COMPANY OF THE PHILIPPINES
Ikaw ba ay mahilig sumayaw? Naaalala mo pa ba yung mga folk dance na sinayaw mo sa inyong paaralan? Gusto mo bang ipakita sa mga kaibigan mong banyaga ang ganda at galing ng ating kultura? Halina at matuto mula sa batikang Bayanihan, ang National Folk Dance Company ng Pilipinas.
As part of the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, the Sentro Rizal of Phnom Penh cordially invites members of the Filipino community in Cambodia to a dance workshop on 12 June 2018, from 6:30-8:00pm, at the Philippine Embassy Multi-Purpose Hall.
To be conducted by members of the Bayanihan, the workshop aims to impart the value of learning Philippine folk dances, emphasizing creative self-expression, appreciation of Philippine cultural heritage, and the bayanihan spirit.
Workshop participants will also learn the fundamentals of dance, movements and their meanings, learn expressive ways in communicating emotions and thoughts in a cultural context.
The multi-awarded Bayanihan is the oldest dance company in the Philippines. Since its founding in 1957, it has performed in six continents, in 66 countries, and in 700 cities worldwide.
This workshop is free. Merienda cena will be served.
