It describes unique and endemic species, rare geological formations, and rich habitats and highlights points of interest for eco-tourists.  The guidebook hopes to instill greater pride in the country’s natural assets, awareness of the treasures within, the benefits they provide, and foster increased contribution to their conservation.

3) Journey of a Thousand Shuttles: The Philippine Weave

            The book discusses Philippine weaving from the Iron Age to the present with sections on the history of weaves and the different fibers, dyestuffs and looms used, as well as design techniques and profiles of the weavers themselves.

            The author includes provides insights into patterns and designs that come from the environment, beliefs, traditions, celebrations  of the different ethnolinguistic groups in the country involved in textile production

4) Pinagmulan

Pinagmulan

            As a Finalist for the Elfren S. Cruz Prize for Best Book in the Social Sciences of the National Book Awards in 2014, this book is an excellent guidebook and a good source of information on the rich and diverse intangible cultural heritage of the Philippines.
