MANAMo 2024: “Pamana ng Karagatan: Para sa Kinabukasan, Ating Ingatan”
(“Let us Preserve Our Ocean Heritage towards a Brighter Future”)
The Embassy of the Philippines in Cambodia joins the Presidential Office for Maritime Concerns (POMC) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in celebrating Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANAMo) 2024 with the theme "Pamana ng Karagatan: Para sa Kinabukasan, Ating Ingatan” (Let us preserve our ocean heritage towards a brighter future). The theme highlights the valuable resources offered by our maritime and archipelagic nation, which Filipinos are responsible for protecting, preserving, and enriching to continuously enjoy. Our history, our social interactions, and our livelihood are sustained by these resources. In turn, our maritime heritage has strengthened our solidarity with each other and instilled a strong sense of identity and nationalism.
In the face of maritime challenges, all Filipinos are encouraged to gain a deeper understanding of their maritime heritage by participating in activities that benefit our marine resources for the sake of present and future generations.
