PUBLIC ADVISORY
FULL VACCINATION OF OVERSEAS FILIPINOS PRIOR TO
THEIR RETURN TO THE PHILIPPINES AND
RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN VACCINATION CARDS/CERTIFICATES
The Embassy of the Philippines in Phnom Penh informs all Filipinos in Cambodia that, through a letter, the Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines emphasizes the importance of COVID-19 vaccination in the prevention of disease transmission and enjoins all returning overseas Filipinos (OFs) to be fully vaccinated prior to their return to the country, especially for the holiday season, to help curtail the spread of COVID-19 infection.
In addition, the DOH - Bureau of Quarantine has confirmed that, in connection with IATF Resolution No. 144-A, overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and OFs vaccinated abroad and carrying foreign vaccination certificates (either in paper or digital form, verifiable online or not, with or without reciprocity agreement, certified or not) will be recognized by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) at the port of entry (IATF Resolution 144).
The certificate holder, however, is still subject to applicable quarantine protocols for Filipino nationals under current country risk classifications of their origin as identified by the IATF (green, yellow, red). It may be noted that Cambodia remains classified as a Yellow List country.
The testing and quarantine requirements per IATF Resolution No. 144-A dated 14 October 2021 shall remain in effect. A copy may be viewed at https://quarantine.doh.gov.ph/resolution-no-144-a/
