EXTENSION OF HEALTH MEASURES IN PHNOM PENH ^[1]

(as of 23 September 2021)

            All Filipinos in Cambodia are informed that the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration has extended the measures for combating and preventing the spread of Covid-19 especially the ‘Delta variant’ from 24 September 2021 to 7 October 2021:

• Prohibition of private gathering of more than 15 people, except:
  • Gathering of family members living in the same residence;
  • Funeral with the permission from the authorities;
  • Gathering of health officials in implementing health measures;
  • Gathering of people during court proceedings; and
  • Gathering of authorities for maintaining public order and security and serving public interest.

• Prohibition of occupation and business activities at high risk of CovId-19 infection:
• Schools, including private and public vocational training schools that have not been allowed to reopen;
• Clubs, KTVs, bars, discotheques, beer gardens, and casinos;
• Resorts, museums, playgrounds, and amusement parks;
• All kinds of massage and sauna related businesses;
• All kinds of liquor shops and stores; and
• All cinemas, theaters, gyms, and sport centers.

            The Embassy encourages all Filipinos to continue monitoring the situation through the local news and this page for advisories and announcements.
