COMELEC Deadlines for Processing of OV Registration Applications

            The Philippine Embassy informs all Filipinos in Cambodia of the recent decision of COMELEC on the overseas voting registration:

• The deadline for filing of applications for the transfer of registration records from overseas to the Philippines has been extended from 30 August 2021 to 30 September 2021.

• Those who are already in the Philippines may file directly with the COMELEC’s field offices (Offices of the Election Officers or OEOs) in the cities/municipalities/districts where they intend to vote by 9 May 2022.

• Personal appearance is mandatory as the transfer process involves capturing biometric data and approval of the applications by the Election Registration Board (ERB) of the cities/municipalities/districts where they will vote.

• Retention of the 31 August 2021 deadline for applications for transfer from overseas to the Philippines filed through COMELEC’s Virtual Frontline Services (VFS).

• Deadline for all other transactions (registration/certification as overseas voter, reactivation of voting records, correction of entries, etc.) for both overseas and local voter registration is still on 30 September 2021.
