PUBLIC ADVISORY
EXTENSION OF HEALTH MEASURES IN PHNOM PENH
(as of 12 August 2021)
All Filipinos in Cambodia are informed that the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration issued on 11 August 2021 decision no. 259/21 extending the measures for combating and preventing the spread of Covid-19 especially the ‘Delta variant’:
- Curfew from 22:00H - 03:00H will be extended for seven (7) days, effective from 00:00H on 13 August until 19 August 2021. Traveling during curfew time is prohibited, except:
- Government officials and armed forces with mission certification;
- Diplomats and officials of foreign missions, UN agencies, international financial organizations and a driver with certification of identity and employment;
- Traveling to the airport for flying out by presenting identity and travel-related documents;
- For emergency health purposes (limited to four people);
- Traveling home after finishing quarantine or hospital discharge;
- Airport employees with certification from the employer;
- Journalists; and
- Other necessary reasons with permission from the competent authorities.
- Prohibition of private gathering of more than 15 people, effective from 00:00H on 13 August until 26 August 2021, except:
- Gathering of family members living in the same residence;
- Funeral with the permission from the authorities;
- Gathering of health officials in implementing health measures;
- Gathering of people during court proceedings; and
- Gathering of authorities for maintaining public order and security and serving public interest.
- Prohibition of occupation and business activities at high risk of CovId-19 infection, effective from 00:00H on 13 August until 26 August 2021:
- Schools, including private and public vocational training schools;
- Clubs, KTVs, bars, discotheques, beer gardens, and casinos;
- Resorts, museums, and amusement parks;
- All kinds of massage and sauna related businesses;
- All kinds of liquor shops and stores; and
- All cinemas, theaters, gyms and sport centers.
