 HEALTH MEASURES IN CAMBODIA

 

            All Filipinos in Cambodia are informed that the Cambodian government issued Circular no. 04, a nationwide campaign to strengthen the measures for combating and preventing the spread of COVID-19 especially the ‘Delta variant’ for fourteen (14) days from 23:59 on 29 July 2021 until 12 August 2021:

 

  • All provinces and municipalities shall ban occupation and business activities, such as KTVs, nightclubs, beer gardens, resorts, amusement parks, alcoholic beverages outlets, massage parlors, cinemas, theatres, museums, gyms, sport centers, and other businesses at high risks;
  • Any private gathering of more than ten (10) people shall obtain permission from the competent authorities, except:
    • Gathering of family members living in the same residence;
    • Funeral with the permission from the authorities;
    • Gathering of health officials in implementing health measures;
    • Gathering of people during court proceedings; and
    • Gathering of authorities for maintaining public order and security and serving the public interest.
  • All types of gathering for drinking alcohol are prohibited;
  • Restaurants and cafeterias are allowed to sell take-away food only. Dine-in is prohibited, unless restaurants and cafeterias can ensure strict adherence to health safety measures and social distancing;
  • A curfew from 9:00 pm to 3:00 am will be implemented in Phnom Penh and provincial downtown areas and other areas with exemption on traveling for emergency health reasons; and,
  • Government and private institutions, as well as private individuals are encouraged to use COVID-19 rapid antigen tests during the implementation of this campaign.
