TRANSIT REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES IN SINGAPORE

(as of 29 May 2021)

All Filipinos in Cambodia are informed of the following requirement for all passengers transiting in Singapore:

  • Effective 29 May 2021, 2359H, pre-departure testing (PDT) will be required from travelers entering or transiting through Singapore, including Singapore citizens and permanent residents.”

All transiting travelers will have to present a valid (i.e. taken within 72 hours prior departure) negative COVID-19 PCR test PDT at all air, sea, and land checkpoints. Transiting passengers without a negative PDT may be refused permission to board their flight to Singapore or deported to the country of origin.

Exempted from the PDT requirement are travelers who have stayed in lower-risk countries/regions (e.g. Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Mainland China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Macao) throughout the last 21 days before departure for Singapore.

  • Only passengers traveling with an airline whose transfer route has been approved by Singapore authorities will be allowed to transit at Changi Airport. Passengers should consult with their airlines before purchasing their air tickets.

Transfers are only allowed between airlines within the SIA Group (Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, and Scoot). Singapore Airlines has also approved interline agreements with Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air Niugini, Garuda Indonesia, Lufthansa, Swiss International Airlines Jet Star, and Turkish Airlines which allow customers to transit through Singapore from approved cities to destinations in the SIA Group network operated by Singapore Airlines and SilkAir. Transfers to and from flights operated by other airlines are currently not permitted.

  • Transit time in Singapore should not exceed 48 hours.
  • Transiting passengers requiring overnight stay at Changi Airport are required to stay in the airport transit hotel while awaiting their connecting flight. The cost of the overnight stay, to be borne by the traveler, is around USD 200. A maximum of two (2) traveling companions may share a room. Transit passengers will be escorted to the designated Transit Holding Area where they will await their connecting flights.
