The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Phnom Penh would like to inform all Filipino nationals in Cambodia of the new regulation of the General Department of Immigration that took effect on 1 August 2016, requiring children born in Cambodia of foreigner parents to obtain exit visas within three (3) months of the child's date of birth.  The exit visa costs $30.  There are separate costs for expediting the application.

GDI will impose an "overstaying" penalty of $10 per day. To date and until the end of the year, the GDI is extending some flexibility on the imposition of penalties to allow for information dissemination.

The Embassy reiterates its call to all Filipinos in Cambodia to ensure that all pertinent documents, specifically passports and visas, are always up-to-date and compliant with the relevant immigration laws and regulations for the stay of foreigners in Cambodia.
