The Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh commemorated the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of the Philippines-Cambodia Diplomatic Relations through a luncheon hosted by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Myca Magnolia M. Fischer on 28 August 2020 for officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation directly in charge of Phillipines-Cambodia ties, led by H.E. Hun Sarouen, Director General for Asia Pacific.

The luncheon was an opportunity to recall high-level visits, including the highly successful State Visit of President Rodrigo R. Duterte in December 2016, and discuss measures to further enhance relations between the two countries in the areas of trade, investment, agriculture, labor and migration, and culture.

Diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cambodia were officially established on 20 August 1957. About twenty (20) bilateral agreements have been signed since the establishment of diplomatic relations. END
