Phnom Penh, 31 March 2025 – Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo visited Takeo Province on 22 March 2025 in support of the 9th River Festival, where Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Hun Manet was the Guest of Honor.
Ambassador Mayo took the occasion to meet with H.E. Vei Samnang, Governor of Takeo Province, on the same day for an introductory call. They discussed areas of mutual interest, including agriculture, tourism, and cultural promotion, starting with weaving traditions.
The Ambassador thanked Governor Vei for the warm hospitality accorded by the provincial government to Filipino workers in Takeo. In line with the Embassy’s cultural diplomacy, Ambassador Mayo presented a handcrafted traditional Filipino hut fashioned from local shells as a symbol of Philippine-Cambodian kinship. END
