Phnom Penh, 03 April 2025 - Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo met on 2 April 2025  with Cambodian National Police (CNP) Deputy Commissioner Seang Thearith to consult and coordinate on responses to transnational crimes affecting the Philippines and Cambodia.

Citing the importance of standard operating procedures to ensure the safe repatriation of Filipinos, Ambassador Mayo appreciated the valuable attention given by Cambodian authorities to representations made by the Philippine Embassy in this regard.  Deputy Commissioner Seang, for his part, assured the Philippine Ambassador of the CNP’s continuing assistance and looked forward to closer cooperation between both countries in addressing TNCs.

The Philippine National Police and the CNP signed in 2016  a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Combatting Transnational Crime which covers drug trafficking, arms smuggling, money laundering, cybercrimes, Trafficking in Persons, and other forms of transnational crimes. END
